Beyoncé Giselle Knowles (born September 4, 1981), in Houston Texas, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, fashion designer and model.
Beyoncé rose to fame as the creative force and lead singer of R&B group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time, selling over fifty million records.
After a series of highly successful releases with the group, Knowles released her debut solo album Dangerously in Love in 2003. The album became one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, topping the album charts in the U.S. and the UK. It also produced the number-one singles "Crazy in Love" and "Baby Boy" and earned Beyoncé five Grammy Awards in a single night in 2004.
Beyoncés' 2nd album, B’Day, was released worldwide on September 4, 2006 , with continued success.
The album spawned the UK number-one single "Deja Vu", "Ring the Alarm", and the worldwide number-one hit "Irreplaceable", and earned Beyoncé her tenth Grammy Award.
Continuing where she left, with another impressive release... her 3rd album, released in November 2008, includes the smash hits, "If I Were A Boy", and "Single Ladies...Put A Ring On It".
She has several movies to her credit, including, "Carmen: A Hip Hopera", "Austin Powers:Goldmember", "The Fighting Temptations", "The Pink Panther", and the critically acclaimed "Dreamgirls".
Beyoncé, is a one woman dynamo, and a very good role model, to young women, everywhere.
